ICONIQ-GREENFAB BRINGING BACK PV TO EUROPE

This is the first step of the recently established innovation consortium IconIQ-Greenfab to re-establish production of PV modules in Europe. Energyra Europe and TNO play an important role together with ISC Konstanz in the consortium. Also ESMC, the international organisation for solar energy, representing European solar manufacturers, suppliers, machine builders, and knowledge institutes, aims to produce solar modules in Europe.

To reduce its reliance on Asian imports, it is critical the EU starts producing significant volumes of PV modules to address the growing demand of its home market, and allow European businesses to engage in the supply chains.
